Who We Are

Anaerobic digestion plants across the UK produce more commercial value than operators typically capture. Renewable gas guarantees of origin, biogenic CO₂, and digestate each represent long-term contracted revenue opportunities. These can be unlocked with the right commercial infrastructure.

Kerkap Climate Solutions is a UK-based specialist in the full monetisation of AD outputs. We work with AD plant operators, providing the commercial structuring, market access, and technical expertise to convert every output into long-term contracted revenue.

Our model is built on partnership, not speculation. We do not trade certificates or take positions in commodity markets. We originate offtake agreements, structure commercial frameworks, and connect operators with the right counterparties. We deliver value on both sides of every agreement.

  • Anaerobic digestion is one of the UK's most underutilised tools for decarbonisation. Most of this value is left on the table. We exist to change that. We build the commercial infrastructure that makes every MWh of biomethane, every molecule of CO₂, and every tonne of digestate work harder for the operators who produce it, and the buyers who need it.

  • Each engagement starts the same way. A full assessment of the AD facility. What it produces, where value is being captured, and where it is being lost.

From there, we build a tailored commercial strategy across each output stream and execute across each one. Our relationships span corporate buyers, industrial offtakers, agricultural and horticultural markets, and carbon market participants. When we identify a route to market, we structure the agreement and see it through.

  • The UK has over 130 biomethane-to-grid AD plants, and hundreds more generating biogas for on-site energy. Together, they process millions of tonnes of organic waste annually. They generate renewable energy, produce biogenic CO₂ that has the capacity to be permanently removed from the atmosphere, and create organic materials that can displace fossil-derived products.

Much of that value goes unrealised.

Rapid decarbonisation requires more than clean energy generation. It requires the full spectrum of outputs to be utilised. AD plants are uniquely positioned to contribute to net zero. Kerkap is helping them to do exactly that.
